About Custom Auger Systems, Ltd

Custom Auger Systems, Ltd began in August 2003 as a partnership between Art Drumm (former owner of Marysville Rotary Broom, Marysville OH) and Tom Mash (former owner, Mash Mechanical LLC, a plumbing service in Knoxville TN).

Art's auger experience began in the 1980s when he successfully designed and distributed soft bristled grain augers that didn't damage beans or corn kernels.

Tom, a master plumber by trade, designed an auger for boring horizontally under footings, sidewalks, driveways ect. with the use of an ordinary heavy duty drill. With Art's help, Tom designed the first prototype, and they were later awarded a U.S. patent for the auger system. Custom Augers is still family owned and operated. Art's daughter Becky now handles production and sales, while Tom serves in a consultant/research and development role as he begins to look forward to retirement.
